Congratulations! A new family member is always an important moment in a woman’s life and after nine months of pregnancy and the following birth, your body needs some special attention.
Pilates offers many benefits to help your postnatal body to recover and meet the new demands of being a mum.
We are now offering a postnatal Pilates course, starting on Thursday, 28 April 2016 .
The classes are taught by Camilla Filoni, a qualified Pilates teacher with special expertise in pre and postnatal Pilates.
Classes take place at St Andrew’s Church Hall on the corner of Finchley Road and Frognal Lane in Hampstead/London every Thursday morning from 9:30-10:30.

The aim of these classes is to create positive postural changes by strengthening the abdominal and pelvic floor muscles in a sensible, functional manner to assist the body in its postnatal recovery.
The course will focus on shoulder, trunk and pelvic stability to aid your body to re-organise its structure after giving birth.
Camilla will also help you to strengthen your back and release all your tight muscles. She can also assist you with nutritional advice.
Being trained in pre and postnatal Pilates, Camilla will be on hand to help and support you through the first few months of motherhood.
Babies are more than welcome! You can breastfeed, change nappies or just let the baby sleep on a blanket or in the pram next to you while you are exercising.
The course is suitable from 8 weeks after giving birth or 10-12 weeks after c-section. These are guidelines and it’s best to check with your midwife or doctor before booking.
“Becoming a mum was the best experience of my life! I loved sharing time with my daughter especially during the postnatal classes… I had an excuse to get out from my “milky” clothes (although only for few minutes!) and meet other mums!” says Camilla.
